Kuengacholing Herbal Incense draws from Bhutan’s legacy as ‘Menjong’, the Land of Medicinal Herbs, known for its rich floral diversity and pristine environment. As one of Bhutan’s largest herbal incense manufacturers since the 1980s, Kuengacholing combines over four decades of expertise with a commitment to plant-based, organic ingredients. Guided by Buddhist tradition, burning this incense is believed to sanctify spaces, elevate the senses, purify, and foster mindfulness and spiritual connections. The company is deeply influenced by Buddhist values and compassion, with 95% of its employees being women. Founded by Lopon Tharpola, a passionate teacher and incense maker, Kuengacholing incorporates blessings and rare purifying botanicals—Phapta—bestowed by His Holiness Chabjey Dodrup Rinpoche. Every batch is produced to the highest standards and spiritually sanctified. Kuengacholing supplies both the domestic market and exports to around nine countries across Asia, Europe, and North America, using only raw materials sourced from Bhutan’s pristine landscapes.
