The Launch of e-H20 ( electrolyte water) also known as the ཛིར་ཛིར་ཆུ. As the name suggests the drink is a functional beverage with micronutrients to replenish the loss of fluids and electrolytes during sports and strenuous physical activities. The ཛིར་ཛིར་ཆུ contains carefully crafted premix ( B-complex vitamins B3, B5 and B7) & minerals ( sodium, potassium and magnesium) with fusion of nature identical flavors to give the consumers the delightful experience of healthy drink with hydration. Globally electrolyte based drinks popularly known as the ‘isotonic beverages’ this segment is said to account for the highest global market contributor with $17,533.5 million in 2020 and is estimated to reach $31,010.4 million by 2030 at a CAGR of 5.5%. Thus, an opportunity to leverage on both domestic and export markets.

The ideation stage of the product began in December 2021. Starting this year, the R and D team collaborated with research panelists of Doehler India. Doehler is a German based company with expertise in food ingredients technology. A work plan was developed beginning Dec 2021 which involved the continuous collaborative engagement of experts right from prototype development to technical feasibility of product and to the vetting of product acceptance through sensory evaluations. Several product trials were undertaken to evaluate and confirm the RDA (recommended dietary allowance) of the product throughout the shelf life of nine months. August 2022 the product passed the technical and financial feasibility process.

Bhutan Agro Industries Limited (BAIL) is a fruit & vegetable processing company in the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan. It was established in 1993 with the financial and technical assistance of the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA). BAIL is located at Wangchutaba, 12km from the capital city of Thimphu. BAIL was set up to help uplift the Bhutanese rural economy by creating opportunities for farmers to earn additional income. The company achieves this objective by buying off surplus horticulture produces of the farmers, which is also the main source of the company's raw materials.
