Bhutan Green Tea is the product of a small community in "Samdrupcholing" village under Trongsa district in Bhutan. It is organically grown, handpicked, and processed in the pristine environment of the high Himalayas and is the first and only green tea from Bhutan.
The tea plant was originally planted around the "Samdrupcholing Palace" during the reign of the second king of Bhutan and has been the greatest gift to the community.
Its production is aimed at enhancing the livelihood and revenue generation for framers of the "Samdrupcholing" village.
