K5 Himalayan Whisky is a distinctive premium blended whisky, proudly blended and bottled in the Kingdom of Bhutan. Named in honour of His Majesty the Fifth King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, K5 represents a unique fusion of Bhutanese craftsmanship and Scottish whisky-making traditions.
Expertly crafted at the Gelephu Distillery under the Bhutanese Army Welfare Project, K5 combines 65% Scottish malt whiskies aged between 8 and 12 years in bourbon and sherry casks with 35% Bhutanese organic grain spirit distilled using pure Himalayan glacial water.
The result is a smooth, characterful whisky with delicate fruity aromas, rich caramel and honey notes, subtle hints of cinnamon and cardamom, and a lingering sherry sweetness.
