Safflower (carthamus tinctorius) helps to clear the liver and posses tonifying properties to promote general health. Cinnamon (cinnamomum tamala) is used to maintain good liver functions, clearing dampness and cold. It helps to detoxify the body.
This herbal tea is a healthy beverage that does not contain harmful constituents such as caffeine or fats.
Preparation:
- Pour boiling water over a tea bag placed in a cup and allow to brew for 5 to 10 minutes to get the best flavour and infusion.
- For Maximum benefits, avoid adding sugar or milk.
- Don’t throw away your used tea bag, refrigerate it for use as facial cleanser or as soothing eye packs.

Traditional Medicine was introduced as a part of the National Health Care System in 1967, when production of traditional medicines was started on a very low scale. In 1982, the production of traditional medicines was mechanized with the procurement of some basic grinding equipment with WHO support.
